London, June 21. A correspondent says, the Lord-Mayor, by
serving the office this year, will put into his pocket not
less than 2000l. The Tower saved him the expences of the
Easter Ball, and the entertainment of the Bishops, and the
presence of his gout, &c. is to excuse him for not giving
any ball or entertainment for the Judges and others at any
time throughout his mayoralty.
