Montreal, January 14. The face of affairs is now greatly
changed.-- Dancing, feasting, and merriment, go swingingly
round.-- The greatest harmony and the best understanding now
subsists between both sexes.---- The black and white
mingling together in nocturnal assemblies form an
undistinguished band, where, throwing off the painful
restraint of ceremony, our youth freely unbend their minds
from the labours of the day, by indulging themselves in
innocent and inoffensive diversion.
