From the London Chronicle, June 9.  A Political Picture of
Europe, for June, 1770.
The French King leading monarchs by the nose; the political
puppetmaster of Europe.
The King of Spain holding in his and a broken spear, pointed
cross the Bay of Biscay.
The King of Portugal, a feeble old man upon crutches; has
but one eye, which is fixed upon Madrid.
The Emperor dancing a Parisian Jigg with the French
Ambassador and seven electors.
[Other Kings or Queens ( Prussia, Holland, Denmark, Sweden,
Russia, Sardinia, Sicily, Poland, Hungary, Bohemia, Grand
Signior, Britain, Ireland, and the Pope) described similarly
and unflatteringly.]
