London, May 2. . . Yesterday morning several thousand
sailors assembled in Stepney Fields, and proceeded through
the city, to petition the Parliament for a regulation of
their wages, as in other trades.  They were very orderly in
their proceedings, had flags in front, in center, and in
read, with fiddles playing before them, and several
ringleaders with boatswains whistles were interspersed
throughout who answered on another and regulated the whole
body. . .
