Index Entry Bells, in Fulham, sung on death of John Powell
Location London
Citation
CJ-NH.783.037
17 Sep 1783:31 (829)
From a late London paper. Anecdotes of the late Mr. John
Powell, of the Pay-Office. . . [14 lines of detail about his
life] We are sorry to add, that he was so unpopular at
Fulham, that as well on the report of his having run away,
as on the news of his death being received at that place,
the bells were instantly set a ringing.
