Early on Saturday morning, the 25th instant, the Reverend
Naphtali Daggett, D.D. late Professor of Divinity, in Yale-
College, departed this life. . . [16 lines describing
funeral procession which was brought into the college
chapel] But this being too small for the numerous assembly,
the procession moved again, and went to the Reverend Mr.
Whittlesey's meeting-house, where a divine service was
performed. This began with an anthem taken out of the 7th
Chapter of Job. . .[6 more lines on sermon] and the
solemnity was closed by singing the Funeral Thought. . . [6
