On Friday evening last a number of persons, who disapproved
of the proposal made by the committee for this city and
county, in their advertisement published in our last, met at
the house of the Widow de la Montagnie. . . [39 more lines

meeting, the reaction and meeting of the "friends of
constitutional liberty," and plans made by the "friends" to
confront British ship owners] . . . They were attended by
music; and two standard bearers carried a large union flag,
