Philadelphia, Nov. 11, 1767.  In the beginning of April
last, being advised by my friends, for the benefit of my
health, to try the sea air, & change of climate, I embarked
from this port for Rhode-Island, . . . [6 columns of
adventures in the Western Islands and Africa] . . . [after a
shipwreck, met some natives and observed a marriage
ceremony]  At sun-set a grave old Negro stood up, . . . The
ceremony being over, the company joined in a circular dance,
with the married pairs in the middle.
