We hear from Newbury Port, that ninety daughters of industry
and benevolence of various denominations, met at the house
of the Rev. Mr. Bass of that town . . . [9 lines, spun and
carded all day] There was the utmost order and decorum
throughout the day, which was begun by prayer and singing of
psalms, in the evening a suitable exhortation was given and
several anthems sung.
