Charlestown, (S. Carolina). . . June 30.  Last Saturday the
28th of June, being the first anniversary of the defeat of
the British Squadron, under the command of Sir Peter Parker,
off Fort Moultrie, on Sullivan's island, the key of this
Capital; it was celebrated in such a manner as becomes the
Sons of Freedom.  The morning was ushered in with the
ringing of bells. . . [14 lines]
The Palmeto Society . . . [3 lines] gave an elegant
entertainment at Mr. Valk's Long Room, . . . [5 lines]
French horns sounded during the time of dinner; and the
cloth being removed, the following thirteen toasts were
drank . . .
