Yesterday at 10 o'clock, Mr. Charles Fox arrived here, and at 11 o'clock began to canvass the town with Mr. Allen and Mr. Balch. The bells rang merrily, cannon were fired, and the day was concluded with other marks of rejoicing. There is to be a meeting this day at the Assize Hall, when Mr. Fox was expected to make a florid oration. |
