Last Wednesday morning an officer of the 64th regiment and one of the privates, ran from Dorchester Neck Point to the Town House in this town: The officer arrived in 40 minutes, and the private in about 7 minutes after him: it is computed to be about 7 miles, and the road very miry.--- Considerable betts we hear were laid by the officers of that regiment for the benefit of a ball. |
