New-Haven, September 15. On Wednesday last was held the
anniversary commencement, in this town, which was honoured
by the attendance of a respectable audience, composed of
many of the principal gentlemen of this and several of the
neighbouring colonies.

the exercises were concluded by an anthem sung by the young
gentlemen of the college.

the assembly was entertained with an agreeable valedictory
oration, pronounced by Mr. Ingersoll, after which was sung
another anthem, and the exercises of the day closed with
