East Hampton, March 22. We hear from Oyster Ponds, in
Southold, upon Long-Island, that Mr. Joseph Lee, received
ordination, and the pastoral care and charge in that place.
The Rev. Mr. Buell began with prayer, and preached a sermon
from Mat.28.20, -- "And I am with you alway, even to the end
of the world, Amen." The Rev. Mr Brown made the prayer at
Imposition of Hands; the Rev. Mr. Barker gave the charge;
the Rev. Mr. Storrs gave the right hand of fellowship; the
Rev. Mr. Goldsmith made the concluding prayer; and the Rev.
Mr. Lee then gave out a psalm to be sung, and pronounced the
blessing:-- The respective services were attended with the
regularity, decency and solemnity that is suitable upon such
an occasion.
