London, October 13. Yesterday morning Robert Paterson,
alias James Wright, and James Mace, for robbing Mr. Cusbby,
near the Shepherd and Shepherdess; Richard Holt, for forging
a bill of exchange for ten pounds, drawn upon Messieurs
Brown and Son, and publishing the same; Hannah Smith, a
servant to Mr. Harris, near Snow-Hill, for stealing 21
guineas, and a quantity of half-pence; and Richard Slocombe,
for personating his father Mr. Richard Slocombe, who was the
proprietor of 450l. New South Sea Annuities, and
transferring 50l. part thereof, as if he was the true
proprietor; were executed at Tyburn, pursuant to their
sentence. Their behaviour was every way decent, and
becoming their unhappy circumstances, joining with the
ordinary and other clergyman in prayers & singing hymns, for
an hour and five minutes before they were turned off.
