Boston, May 11.  Wednesday last the Rev. Mr. Simon Howard.
A. M. was ordained to the Pastoral Office of the West Church
in this town, whereas the late Rev. Jonathan Mayhew, D. D.
was Pastor.  An anthem, entitled David's Elegy on Jonathan,
was sung at the opening the Solemnity; . . . and the whole
closed with an Anthem for the Peace of the Church of Christ
in the World.
