This day being set apart for the public rejoicings on
account of the total repeal of the Stamp-Act, the dawn was
ushered in by the ringing of all the bells in town, guns
firing, drums beating, and all sorts of musick--besides a
display of colours on board the shipping in the harbour, and
on the tops of houses, &c. --Liberty Tree is decorated in a
splendid manner.
