Paris, April 8.  On the 12th ult. a fire broke out at
Effoyes, in Campagne, which in less than five hours burnt
down two hundred and seventy houses, and furniture, goods,
provisions, stores, near 24,000 hogshead of brandy and wine,
two large droves of horned cattle, all are consumed, the
church and steeple are entirely destroyed, and the bells
