Extract from General Orders.  Headquarters, New-Windsor,
15th June, 1781.  It is with singular pleasure that the
commander in chief congratulates the army on the success of
our arms under Major-General Greene in South-Carolina. . .
[10 lines]  On the 12th the garrison of Fort Mott,
consisting of 1 captain, 3 lieutenants, 3 ensigns, 1
sergeant-major, 1 sergeant, 8 corporals, 2 drums and fifes
and 165 privates, surrendered prisoners of war to Brigadier-
General Marian, who had carried his approaches to the foot
of the abbatis. . . [21 lines]
