Hartford.   Five Hundred Dollars Reward.  Run away from the
subscriber, on Wednesday, the 5th instant, a likely Negro
Man, named Bill, about 25 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches
high, plays well on the flute and fife; had on a short green
coat with a red cape, took with him a fine blue broadcloth
coat with red cuffs and cape, and sundry other cloaths: It
is supposed he will attempt to get to New York, or within
the enemy's lines . Whoever will secure said servant, and
return him to the subscriber shall receive the above reward,
and all necessary charges.  [signed] Jeremiah Platt. 
Hartford.  July 10, 1780.
