We have just received advice from North-Carolina, that about
3500 of their militia are marched for the assistance of
South Carolina and Georgia. Col. Walton, it is said, of the
Georgia militia, was dangerously wounded in the late action
at Savannah, in which he behaved with remarkable bravery.
He, together with several of the most respectable citizens
of that state, are on board the prison ship in the river,
and treated with remarkable severity. What a contrast
between a prisoner's walking at large, and skipping at every
ball and assembly, and being confined with the most
disagreeable companions in the hold of a prison ship!
