To the Public. Whereas the want of paper increases fast,
and the slow collection of rags renders in almost impossible
to keep the printing business in employ. The subscriber
promises for the encouragement of those who will be so good
as to collect rags, and bring them to his shop a little
above the court-house Hartford that any books they want that
he has for sale, he will let them go at half the price of
what he sells them at by wholesale or retail. He has for
sale spelling books, primmers proof catechisms, writing-
paper, account books, the bible in miniature, psalm books,
pocket books, &c. &c. &c.
The smallest quantities will be greatly acknowledged,
by the publicks most obedient humble servant [signed]
Nathaniel Patten.
N. B. Likewise calves pates will be agreeably accepted.
