London. Feb. 19. Yesterday morning between 4 and 5 o'clock
a terrible fire broke out at Mrs. Collier's and Jewson's
milliners, in Bishopsgate street, which intirely consumed
that and two other houses, backward. . . [14 lines] The
family had been remarkable careful of fire, but having sat
up late and been fatigued, in preparing dresses for the
masquerade omitted their usual precaution; so many lives
have hardly ever before been known to be lost in this city
from a fire that did not spread further.
