Stolen from the subscriber of Hartford, on the 29th of
February last, a black mare. . . [7 lines describing horse
and riding accoutrements that were stolen] Stolen by John
Bazil of Middletown, a straight built fellow, 24 years of
age, a scar over one eye, somewhat pitted with the small
pox, an odd cast with his eyes, a curious drummer, for which
exercise he has a peculiar relish, had on when he went away.
. . [4 lines describing clothing and 4 lines detailing
rewards for apprehension] [signed] Eleazer Wales. 
The horse taken up on the 12th of March at Portsmouth, as
mentioned in the public papers, may possibly be the horse
above described.
