New-Haven, September 13.  Last Wednesday the public
commencement was held in this town, attended by a very large
and polite assembly of people. . . [9 lines describing
ceremonies] and an anthem agreeably concluded the forenoon
exercises. . . [30 more lines describing exercises and
listing degree candidates] The graduates and young gentlemen
of the college exemplified their skill in music, by singing
an anthem to the acceptance of all present; and a pertinent
prayer, by the Rev. President, concluded the whole.
