London, December 12. A great personage lately censured his
brother very severely for his irregular course of life; and
particularly on account of his unbridled passion for
intrigue.  You see, says he, what a sum I am to pay for you;
you are sensible of the disgrace you bring on the family,
and how unworthy it is not to follow our better example.
The young buck, with his usual levity, turned round upon his
heel, whistled, (for he is fond of music) and then left the
room, humming to himself, My mother did so before me.
