Hartford, Sept. 25, 1769. We hear from Wallingford, that a
society of singing-masters who have voluntarily associated,
with a view to encourage psalmody in this government, at
their last meeting there, agreed to meet at the south
meeting-house, in this town the first Wednesday of October
next, at one o'clock in the afternoon, when several new
pieces of music will be performed, both with voices and
instruments, and a sermon preached on the occasion.
