Boston, Sept. 12. . . [45 lines describing the Governor's
abandoning plans to reinforce the garrison at the Castle;
also arrival of George Messervey, the Distributor of Stamps
for New Hampshire, and his intents to immediately resign the
post.  Also, report of rumor that Stamp Act would be
suspended.] the morning following (Wednesday) was ushered in
with the ringing of all the bells in town, and joy and
gladness appeared in every countenance.
