London.  June 10.  Perhaps there could not have entered into
the head of a malignant, a design more immediately
subversive of liberty and property, and destructive to the
community in general, than the infamous clause so slyly and
artfully fostered into the East India bill, in order to
deprive the five hundred pounds stock-holders of their right
of voting in common with the rest of the proprietors, "An
act, (as Shakespear says in Hamlet) which roars so loud and
thunders in the index;". . .
