London, Aug. 23.   Last Thursday Mr. Alderman Wilkes dined
with his daughter at the Fleur de Lis in Maidstone, where he
was visited by several persons of distinction, the bells
were set a ringing, and he very generously sent a guinea to
the ringers. . .
