London,  Feb 25.  Saturday last there was an universal joy
to be seen in the countenances of every true lover of
freedom and trade in the city, on the hopes of the stamp-act
being repealed. . . The bells in most churches rang from
morning till night; and particularly St. Michael's,
Cornhill, which did not finish till near twelve o'clock, and
concluded with forty-five platoons. . .
