Extract of a letter from St. Kitts.  "We the inhabitants of
St. Kitts have followed the true loyal spirit of the North-
Americans, by burning and totally destroying the stamps: 
You never saw people more spirited than what we were on that
occasion:. . .  The evening concluded with an elegant
supper, drums beating, and French horns playing; and the
last given was, liberty, property, and no stamps."
