Brussels, Nov 16. The Pope has issued an order, importing,
that when a young lady is to take the veil, the ceremony
shall begin in the morning, and be concluded by noon; that
there shall be no music within the church on such an
occasion, nor any drums, trumpets, salutes of small arms or
artillery, without it, nor any public entertainments given;
and in fine that all worldly pomp be wholly omitted, on
pain, to the superior of the convent, of active and passive
privation, and to the relations of the young lady, a fine of
500 crowns.
