On the 4th instant the honourable Sir William Pepperrell,
Bart. attended by divers officers and gentlemen, set out for
his seat at Kittery:  He was met at Lyn by a troop of Col P[ 
 ]'s horse, and escorted to the principal tavern in the
town. . . on his entry he was saluted with the discharge of
the town cannon, the ringing of bells. . .
