August 13. Yesterday being the birth-day of his Royal
Highness the Prince of Wales, who entered into the 11th year
of his age, their Majesties received the compliments of the
nobility, foreign ministers, and gentry on the occasion; a
grand entertainment was given at Kew, and at night there was
a ball. At one o'clock the guns were fired in the
artillery-ground in honour of the day, his Royal Highness
being Captain-General of the company; after which, an
elegant entertainment was given. It is remarkable, that his
Royal Highness was born exactly forty-eight years, from the
accession of his great great grandfather King George I. the
first of the Brunswick family who ruled in England.
