Boston, June 11. . . Thursday last was the anniversary of
the birth-day of our most gracious Sovereign King George the

In the evening the train exhibited some elegant fire-works
from the balcony of said house [Province-House] in honour of
the day. The whole was conducted to the pleasure and
satisfaction of all the spectators, and with the greatest
decency, joy, and decorum:--We cannot omit noticing the
marches, evolutions, and firings of the field pieces and
small arms of the Artillery Company, their performance of
the manual exercise in a soldier-like and striking manner,
all which did honor to their commander, themselves and their
country.
In the evening there was a most splendid ball, at
Concert-Hall, at which were present Admiral Montague, and
many gentlemen and ladies of the first rank and figure.
