Tho' a number of writers have humorously ridiculed the
follow of those who in the lower stations of life,
distinguish themselves by an attachment to party, and
neglect the duties of their several occupations, to attend

We were going on very prosperously, till the late fatal
dissentions converted, or rather as Scrub in the Stratagem
phrases it, perverted, one of the best haberdashers into one
of the worst politicians existing.
