London.  Extract of a letter from Plymouth, July 14.
The day before yesterday his Royal Highness the Duke of
Cumberland arrived here from a cruize; . . . [12 lines on
welcoming ceremonies]  From the citadel his Highness went to
the Long-Room, where he gave a public breakfast to upwards
of 500 persons, and opened the ball with Lady Edgecombe; he
danced till two o'clock, and in the evening went to the
play.
