The printer hereof hopes none of his readers will take amiss
the omission of any formal account of the ringing of bells,
--the displaying of colours on Liberty-Tree, and on board
several vessels at the wharves on Tuesday last, or the
bonfire on Fort-Hill in the evening; as it could not be
found upon enquiry by whose direction they were done; it is
said this method of testifying their joy was disapproved of
by many persons;--those who know the transactions must give
the particulars, if they judge meet.
