London, May 9. On Saturday a great body of sailors met in
St. George's fields in the East, and went to St. James's
with colours flying, drums beating, and fifes playing, and
presented a petition to his Majesty, setting forth the
hardships they at present labour under on account of the
smallness of their wages, and praying relief. They divided
themselves into two parties, one went over London_Bridge,
the other marched through the city.
