London, Oct. 26. Yesterday morning the remains of Sampson
Gideon, Esq; were brought in a hearse and six horses to
Pewterers Hall, where the company that was to attend the
funeral met, from whence they went in thirteen mourning
coaches and six, in grand funeral procession, to the Jews
burying-ground near mile-end, where the body was interred
about noon, agreeable to the rites of the Jewish religion,
as directed by his will. The orphans of the Jews Charity
School sung before the corpse as it entered the burial
ground. The coffin was covered black velvet, and the plate
silver, with his name and age engraved thereon. He was 63
years of age.
