An account of regaining Newfoundland, particularly of St.
John's. 
[Sept.] 18th.  When an officer with two drums came out of
the fort beating the Chamade, and about noon the garrison
surrendered themselves prisoners of war:----Le Compte de
Hosson Ville, and the other officers and men, amounted to
upwards of 700, among which were five companies of
grenadiers.
