Yesterday the Right Honourable the Earl of Loudoun, attended
with a number of officers, and other gentlemen, came to town
from New-York, being escorted by the troop of guards:  Upon
his arrival at the seat prepared for his Lordship's
reception, the cannon of his Majesty's Castle William, the
batteries of this town and at Charlestown were discharged: 
And this morning the bells in the town, were rang for
several hours on this occasion.
