New-York, May 12.  By a law of this colony lately passed,
provision is made for raising and subsisting 8[3]00 men in
the pay of the province, to be form'd into eight companies,
each company to consist of a captain, two lieutenants, four
serjeants, three corporals, one drummer, and 80-nine private
men, and their pay as follows per diem:
