From the London Magazine, for the month of August, 1752.
Since our last the whole Kingdom of France has been in the
utmost perplexity on account of the dauphin, who on the
first inst. N.S. was seized with a fever, which continued 3
with variations, till the 4th, when the small-pox began to
appear, . . . [7 lines] and during the whole time he was
closely attended by the dauphiness, who notwithstanding the
danger could never be prevailed on to leave him. AS soon as
he was perfectly recovered, the rejoycings began, and on
Sunday the 27th the King with the royal family, went in
great state to the church of Notredame at Paris, to assist
at singing Te Deum for his recovery.
