Jamaica, March; 1752.  Appeared John Sargeant, Master,
William Thompson, Mate, David Allen Boatswain,. . . 
That being on a voyage from the aforesaid port of Dublin to
the Island of Jamaica, on the twenty-first day of January
last . . .  they were off the east end of Porto Rico, South
and by West . . .  when they met a Spanish sloop with ten
carriage guns, and 100 men, commanded by one Francisco Pancy
(who went by that name) who ordered them to bring to, and
after boarding and taking possession of the said Brigantine
Union, they, in a piratical manner, broke open her hatches
and took out of her the following articles, viz. . . [4
