Samuel Lee, a private continal, was conducted, all in white, by a party of grenadiers, to Durdham-Down, attended by the Rev. Mr. Hall; where, after spending about an hour and a half in prayer and singing of psalms, he was shot to death for desertion by six grenadiers of his own chusing, in the presence of the whole regiment and a multitude of citizens. |
