'Tis said, that in some of our towns eastward, a wonderful
noise has been heard in the air, as of drums, firing off
cannon and vollies of small-arms, &c. whereby some of the
more whimsical and timerous sort of people have been under
no small consternation, thinking these noises certainly
portend a war.
