London, October 20. 1737. The following letter is inserted
in the Daily Post. . .  I lately sent you the character of
the present King of Prussia out of the first volumn in
French of the Baron Pollnitz's Letters and Memoirs, and from
the same volumn I now give you an account of his Prussian
Majesty's troops;-- . . . [detailed descr. of costumes and
pay of all ranks of troops;  7 lines up from bottom of 1st
col.:] Not only the trumpets but even the kettle drums
belonging to the cavalry are all of silver.
