Yesterday in the afternoon Caesar a Negro man [identified in
the Boston Evening Post 19 June 1736 as a "well known
trumpeter"] belonging to Capt. Durrel, having been with some
others in a boat to the Light-House, upon their return, in
venturing too far to save an oar which fell o'er, was
drowned.
